Our name
Three words, three commitments.
COMPASSION
To us, compassion is the desire to take action to help another person, or a group of people. The first step to break the cycle of exclusion is to have compassion towards ex-convicts and incarcerated youths, and we would like to cultivate that in our communities.
FRUIT
The fruit in our name is taken from “passion fruit”, which symbolizes abundance and prosperity. We hope that the positive changes that we make through this project continue to prosper and help others.

I am Amelie D., a 16 year old high school student based in Montreal, Canada.
I started Project Red Compassion Fruit because I want to give a voice to those in our society, especially youths in Juvenile Detention and others struggling with reintegration, who continue to be discriminated and judged after incarceration, despite trying to rebuild their lives.
